Launched by Catherine Deneuve in 1998, Ciné lumière is an independent showcase for the very best in French, European and World cinema. It shows a rich mix of new releases and classic films, and regularly holds such special events as premières, retrospectives and themed seasons, many attended by actors and directors. Its repertory features over 900 screenings a year. All films are screened in their original language, with English subtitles.
