Let’s celebrate a hundred years of French poetry with Simone Hérault and Paul Ryan through readings in French and English of some of the most famous poems from the past century. From Guillaume Apollinaire to Raymond Queneau, from Blaise Cendrars to Yves Bonnefoy and from Louis Aragon to Jacques Roubaud, join us for a poetic journey through love, war, life, friendship, humour, verse, rhymes and rythms…French comedian Simone Hérault is a fantastic reader. For years she has travelled around France to lend her voice to the most beautiful French literary texts. She is also famous for being the voice of the SNCF that you can hear at every station in France! She will be joined by British actor and writer Paul Ryan.
