La Médiathèque is part of the British School Training Programmes and welcomes A-level students for training sessions of one to two weeks.
French Student trainees are accepted only for long-term training sessions in the field of Library and Information Sciences.

Professional Training Sessions: Programme 'Profession Culture' The French Government offers training sessions and grants throughout the year in French public libraries. La Médiathèque is part of the annual international training programmes organised by regional public libraries, the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the BPI. These sessions require a good knowledge of French.
Who: Professionals of Library and Information Sciences.
Place and duration: Regional Public Libraries with some professional visits to Paris. Duration three months.
Procedure: Request files directly from the Ministry of Culture. Deadline for applications is October and files can be sent three months in advance.
Financing: Transport to be paid by candidate or his/her organisation. Accommodation provided. Bursary €1,000 per month.
