the world today China 2020: What scenarios for the futures ? After nearly three decades of uninterrupted economic expansion, China is modernizing at an astonishing rate. Will the world witness the rise of a democratic China at ease with a strong civil society, or will China embrace an even more authoritarian and self-assured regime with a thriving free market economy? The debate will be chaired by Arnaud Mora, General Secretary of The Sciences Po Paris Alumni Society in London. The panel will include Jonathan Fenby, Former editor of South China Morning Post, now editor in chief of the information website Trusted Sources, Dr Christopher R.Hugues Professor at the LSE (Asia Research Center), Dr Kerry Brown,associate fellow of Chatham House, and director of Strategic China Ltd.
