Adela is a single mum who moves to Madrid from the Basque countryside. Antonia is the mother of three grown daughters. Their stories overlap when Adela moves in with Antonia's daughter Inés; their problems are the normal every-day sort, until a sudden and devastatingly violent event rips the fabric of their daily life apart.
