As for Free Software and Copyleft, Free Music is based on the idea that the creation, reproduction and distribution of music for personal, non-commercial purposes should be completely unrestricted. Developed outside the commercial system, Free Music is based on a legal system of free licensing, a system that questions the management and traditional distribution of copyrights.

La Médiathèque's selection includes many little-known independent artists, not signed to traditional labels, and completes our collection of CDs available to borrow or consult on our premises.
