Ready Steady Doc!

Introduction

The 30th edition of the modern Olympic Games is fast approaching, and we have just what you need to put you in the mood! Ready Steady Doc! brings together documentaries from all over Europe to help you see sport in a whole new light: from the Homeless World Cup to the disappearing Rimet Trophy, from a four-year-old marathon runner to an 83-year-old pole vaulter, these films have many fascinating stories to tell.

An amazing line-up of sport celebrities will attend: the manager of the Spanish National Football Team Vicente del Bosque, French football star Vikash Dhorasoo, Hungarian three-time water-polo Olympic champion György Kárpáti, European Senior Champion pole-vaulter Herbert Sepp, 83-year-old Belgian Olympic athlete Yvonne Van Bets, and more!

So don’t miss the perfect chance to meet athletes, learn about historical sporting exploits, and find out more about the personal experiences of people for whom sport is a profession, a passion, a way of life. Check out the programme!

The starting gun goes off on 16 February so ready… steady… doc!

Ready Steady Doc! is a joint project of EUNIC London (European Union National Institutes for Culture), supported by the European Commission Representation in the UK.
