Language lovers around the world have their very own French rendezvous organised every year around the 20th of March: the International Day of Francophonie, and the International Week of French Language and Francophonie. It’s a unique opportunity to celebrate the richness and diversity of the French language, and to discover all that it has to offer. This year, the Institut français will mark this momentous occasion with a series of events in French, including a comedy show, a performance of Jean Cocteau’s play La Voix humaine, and a debating competition for secondary school students. Tate Learning and the Institut Français offer 2 workshops for young learners (not open to the public), exploring visual art for development of French language skills. Led by France-based artist Vanessa Notley. Prepare to indulge in your passion for the French language !
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Julia Kristeva has had to cancel her trip to London. This event is therefore cancelled.
