This original Sundance and Berlin film festival hit film follows an intrepid Kolkata detective - Rajesh Ji - and his motley band of misfits, on raids and investigations across India. The film centres on 3 compelling cases with intimate access to all involved - from the first client phone calls to the finality of a jail cell. On his off hours, Rajesh dreams of winning a national TV talent show. The detectives' weekly dance routines are their escape from the harsh realities of their work. Through the lens of his investigative work and personal life, Rajesh the detective is the catalyst that reveals the realities of modern India.
