The Institut français is specialised in further professional developments and educational projects for individuals, institutions, public and private sectors. New technology, a professional library with full of pedagogical resources on French teaching and learning strategies, a multimedia laboratory and the latest teaching methods all combine to put the most modern tools available at teachers’ disposal.
Seminars and workshops will take place regularly such as “Web 2.0 tools for your class”, “How to use an Interactive Whiteboard in your class” and “Let’s be KS2 Teacher in French”. With the support of experienced professionals, teachers can practise their skills in real-life situations and experiment with teaching techniques.
French for Primary Practitioners
At the Institut français of London or Alliance française of Manchester
This series of six workshops is intended to support any practitioners involved in teaching French in Key Stage 2, especially class teachers and teaching assistants, who would like to get started with French or to use it more regularly in the classroom.
The workshops are aimed at practitioners who have little or no knowledge of French, including those who feel rusty and lack confidence to use their French in the classroom.
With a maximum of 20 participants, these sessions aim to be friendly, supportive and fun. Participants should not feel anxious about their level of French. Handouts with key language will be provided at each session.
Catherine Cheater, renowned as a trainer both nationally and internationally, and well known as the author of the Catherine Cheater Schemes of Work for French.
Will animate the workshops.
Fees & discount: £99 for one workshop, £270 for 3 workshops or £500 for the 6 workshops
