Fundraising Officer
Main purpose of job: To maximise the generation of funds for the Institut français
Â
Key Duties
-
Generate increased income from existing sources
-
Identify and research potential funding opportunities
-
Develop proposals for projects that could attract new funding
-
Assist the Director in developing a fundraising strategy
-
Coordinate the organisation and logistics of profile-raising events
-
Liaise with current donors and sponsors, and manage sponsorships benefits
Role
You will help the Deputy Director and the Director of the Institut français, as well as the Trust (Friends of the French Institute), to secure additional funding to enable the continuing work of the Institut français. You will also help the project managers of the Diaphonique and Fluxus funds to identify potential funding opportunities, and will coordinate all fundraising events and strategies.

Specific tasks
-
Maintain organised hard and soft files of all fundraising information
-
Ensure that records are up to date and that all new contacts and correspondence has been entered
-
identify new contacts and establish links with donors suggested by the Trust
-
Contribute new ideas for fundraising and identify suitable funding initiatives (institutional and structural contributions, events-specific support, renovation projects, contributions to the Fluxus and Diaphonique funds, etc)
-
Identify areas for growth and development and outlining measurable objectives
-
Develop core generic proposals for each programme that requires funding
-
Produce presentations for current and potential sponsors and donors, including budgets for current operations as well as benefits and returns
-
Manage current corporate partnerships, suggesting a number of ways to build on these relationships
-
Manage sponsorship benefits, mentions and naming rights
-
Establish and renew sponsorship contracts
-
Participate in the day to day work of the organisation – such as reporting, attending team and Board meetings as required, and taking a flexible approach to general administrative and support tasks
-
Lead and carry out communications initiatives for the sponsors and donors (newsletters, event invitations, etc)
-
Carry out all administrative and operational aspects of fundraising (entering into correspondence with sponsors and donors, encouraging them to renew their support, managing databases, booking meetings, managing rsvps, etc.)

Personal Specifications
Experience
-
At least four years experience in Trusts or Corporate fundraising.
-
Proven record of successful applications for substantial funding from Trusts and other grant-making bodies
-
Demonstrable ability to develop relationships with Corporate partners and Trusts
-
Experience of researching Trust and Corporate funding opportunities.

Skills and Competencies
-
Bilingual French/English
-
Excellent written skills with the ability to produce concise and creative bids.
-
High standard of computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook and the Internet).

Meticulous attention to detail
-
Good general knowledge
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills required to build relationships with potential donors.
-
Demonstrable knowledge of UK Trusts and Foundations and Corporate giving in general and with a development focus in particular
-
Ability to demonstrate initiative and work well under pressure
-
Ability to plan ahead and work within agreed timeframes
-
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required

Responsable Sponsoring
La personne recrutée sera en charge :
-
de la recherche de fonds pour l'Institut français, ses activités et ses projets
-
de la gestion des relations avec les sponsors et donateurs et du suivi des contreparties
-
de la mise en œuvre opérationnelle des actions de fundraising
Elle sera rattachée à la direction de l'Institut et assistera le Trust, the Friends of the French Institute, dans la recherche de fonds. Elle assistera également les chefs de projet des fonds Diaphonique et Fluxus dans la recherche de financements et coordonnera les différentes actions de fundraising.

Elle devra notamment :
-
mettre à jour et gérer la base de données des donateurs et sponsors actuels, complétée d'une base de donateurs et sponsors potentiels
-
rechercher de nouveaux contacts / organiser les prises de contact avec les donateurs potentiels proposés par le Trust
-
Organiser l'offre susceptible d'intéresser les entreprises et donateurs individuels : soutien institutionnel et structurel, soutien événementiel et sectoriel, projets de rénovation, soutien aux fonds Fluxus et Diaphonique
-
Mettre à jour et produire des documents de présentation des projets à l'attention des sponsors/donateurs potentiels, incluant budgets des opérations le cas échéant et contreparties proposées
-
prendre en charge les aspects administratifs et opérationnels du fundraising (rédaction de courriers, prise et suivi des rdv, relances, établissement de listes, gestion des rsvp etc)
-
gérer le suivi des contreparties, remerciements et mentions
-
établir et renouveler les contrats de sponsoring
-
animer le réseau des donateurs (newsletter d'informations, invitations aux événements, etc)

Profil recherché :
2 à 4 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire (direction du développement d'une institution culturelle)
bilingue français / anglais
bonne culture générale
connaissance du secteur économique et mécénat
qualités rédactionnelles et relationnelles
rigueur et disponibilité

Salaire : annuel brut : entre 26,000 et 31,000 euros
