Last year’s My Night with Philosophers, the first ever night of philosophy in London, was such a success that we are delighted to bring you the second edition on 7 June 2013.
With over 100 events ranging from discussions to performances, from lectures to films, from live readings to recitals, this innovative and original night will make you see philosophy in a whole new light. From 7pm to 7am, you can roam free throughout the Institut and stumble upon enlightening lectures in the cinema, piano improvisations in the listed library, groundbreaking performances in the Salons, and even live broadcasts of panels taking place in Paris.
Over 60 philosophers from France, the UK and all over Europe will get your synapses firing on topics as diverse as ‘The Meaning of Existence’, ‘What Makes a Representation Erotic’ and ‘How to Tame a Zombie’, while dancers, actors, musicians and DJs encourage you to experience philosophy in more submersive – and more subversive – forms.
It’s free and we’ll provide coffee all night – and even free wine between 1am and 2am – so don’t miss your night with philosophers!
