A small Egyptian police band arrives in Israel to play at the inaugural ceremony of an Arab arts centre but, due to bureaucratic confusion and bad luck, the musicians are stranded in a tiny Israeli town in the heart of the desert where the curiously amused and generous-hearted locals take them in for a memorable night. This quietly funny valentine to cultural exchange tacks a sweetly benevolent worldview to a low-key, deadpan visual humour that reaches its zenith at the bleakest roller disco ever filmed...!
