Biography
Joëlle Jolivet was born in 1965. After studing graphic art and advertising at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, she became interested in engraving and painting, and spent a year doing a lithography course at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts. This led her to lino-cutting, which has remained her main mode of expression to this day. In addition to her own books, she has illustrated numerous book covers and works occasionally for the press. She lives and works in Ivry-sur-Seine, close to Paris.
