Set during occupied France, Barny (Emmanuelle Riva), a faithless woman, finds herself inexorably falling in love with the village’s radical, and above all, handsome priest Léon Morin (Jean-Paul Belmondo). Impervious to her provocations, the priest makes it his mission to steer her onto the right path.
