France had proclaimed it ‘National Women’s Year’ and the collective ‘Les Insoumuses’, made of Carole Roussopoulos, Delphine Seyrig, Ioana Wieder and Nadja Ringart, had decided to take on an infamous TV programme by Bernard Pivot. Broadcast on 30 December 1975 with Françoise Giroud, Secretary of State for Women’s Rights as guest of honour, it was entitled One More Day and Women’s Year is over, Thank Goodness! Enough was said to provoke the wrath of Les Insoumuses…
