Krzysztof Kieslowski’s The Double Life of Véronique, which won its lead Irène Jacob a Best Actress Award in Cannes, is a metaphysical voyage carried away by Zbigniew Preisner music. Irène Jacob plays both Weronika, a Polish choir soprano, and Véronique, a French music teacher. Both women don’t know each other and have never met, and yet… their lives are profoundly connected. When Weronika collapses on stage, Véronique, miles away, is deeply affected.
The film will be screened on a 35mm print
