IRN | 2016 | dir. Seifollah Samadian, with Abbas Kiarostami, Juliette Binoche, Massoud Kimiai, Jafar Panahi | doc
Premiered at the 73rd Venice Film Festival, this documentary is an intimate portrait of the late director Abbas Kiarostami compiled by long-time collaborator and friend, Seifollah Samadian. Devoid of interviews, the film uses exclusive video footage spanning many phases in Kiarostami’s life and career to describe a multitalented artist and an exceptional man who joyfully embraced life.
Followed by a Q&A with director Seifollah Samadian (tbc)
