Halloween Special

Festivals & Series

Around Halloween, Ciné Lumière will be screening Raymond Rouleau’s classic The Crucible based on the famous play by Arthur Miller, as part of its film season 100 Years: Simone Signoret, the Political Star. Adapted for the screen by none other than Jean-Paul Sartre, it centres around a witch-hunt in puritanical Salem and earned Simone Signoret the BAFTA for Best Actress in 1958.

Kids of all age are also in for a treat (no trick) with the animated comedy sequel, The Addams Family 2, following new adventures of the spooky family, Michel Ocelot’s silhouette masterpiece Tales of the Night, filled with stories of kings and sorcerers, and two adaptations of bestselling author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler’s hits, Room on the Broom and The Gruffalo.
