Seascapes: Our Oceans on Screen, The Earth Here and Now

103 mins

In French with EN subs

FRA | 2010 | dir.s Jacques Perrin, Jacques Cluzaud | rec 10+

Threading your way at 10 knots through a shoal of tuna on the hunt, accompanying dolphins in their joyous rush, swimming with a great white shark, shoulder to fin… It’s like being a fish among the other fish. After Le Peuple migrateur (Winged Migration), Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud lead us to the heart of the oceans on the path of discovery of unknown or neglected marine creatures. Oceans wonders about the imprint mankind imposes on wildlife and responds with images and emotion to the question: “What is the ocean?”

The screenings of Oceans pay tribute to the late co-director Jacques Perrin

Following the screening of Oceans on 4 June, join a free collage workshop to reflect on the meaning of recycling to protect our deep blue sea. Open to everyone, no matter your skills and abilities, the relaxed workshop will be led by artist Caroline Burraway and all materials will be provided.

The workshop is free but booking is required
