To celebrate the return of the Comédie-Française to the UK – after an absence of 19 years – with The Damned (Les Damnés) at the Barbican in June, the Institut français presents its new 2018-2019 theatre season through a series of broadcasts from the prestigious Parisian institution, also known as La Maison de Molière, from October to June.

Britannicus, Lucrezia, Cyrano, Alceste, Viola and Electre will all come to life to draw you into the worlds of the great theatre classics. From passion and betrayal to murder and manipulation, experience the most intense emotions on the big screen of Ciné Lumière with these six unmissable broadcasts, which will be introduced by artists from the Comédie-Française.

Kicking off the season on 11 October, the exhibition Cabu, the Spectacular Spectator unveils a selection of drawings by the late Cabu sketching actors and plays from the Comédie-Française.
