ESP | 2020 | doc | dir. Javier Tolentino, with Golmehr Alami, Sina Derakhshan, Pezhman Dishad | UK Premiere

Iran and its remote corners are presented through Erfan, a young Kurdish singer, poet and aspiring director, allowing us to discover the many facets of a truly rich and sophisticated culture, using the prism of music.

Tehran Blues is esteemed journalist and film critic Javier Tolentino’s directorial debut, produced by Luis Miñarro. This documentary is a homage to an ever-present culture that cannot be errased nor marginalised, celebrating the coexistence of tradition and modernity.
