Film Scores by French Composers

From 3 to 25 February, Ciné Lumière pays tribute to multi-awarded composer Alexandre Desplat, on the occasion of his nomination to the BAFTA Awards for The Shape of Water, and to other great French score composers, from Georges Delerue to Michel Legrand, Maurice Jaubert to Maurice Jarre.

Their compositions are so intertwined with ultimate classics (L’Amour en fuite, Peau d’Âne, L’Atalante, Lawrence of Arabia) or great recent hits (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Rust and Bone) that they forever resonate in our collective memory.

Alexandre Desplat will grace Ciné Lumière with an exclusive on-stage discussion, before attending the BAFTA Awards Ceremony, on 18 February. Don’t miss him!
