CinéFamilies, New Releases
Existing somewhere between documentary and narrative feature, Michelangelo Frammartino’s latest feature arrives 10 years after his last film Le Quattro Volte. Like his previous film, Il Buco is set in the rural Southern Italian countryside, following the parallel narratives of a group of cavers uncovering a 700-meter-deep pothole, and a nearby cattle farmer suffering from ailing health. The film is a visually breath-taking and meditative study of our changing society, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
