The Troupe de la Comédie-Française revisits the past in light of the present in Stéphane Braunschweig’s staging of Racine’s Britannicus. Enter the corridors of power in a complex web of intrigue orchestrated by Nero, young ruler of Rome who gradually transforms into a tyrant with the machiavelic endeavour to eliminate his half-brother, Britannicus, the rightful heir to the throne.
