Vadym is a 25-year-old composer and sound engineer living in Kyiv who urgently needs to catch a break. A dream job comes just in time: if Vadym can produce recordings of rare animal sounds from his native Transcarpathia, he will have a shot at a better future across the Atlantic in Canada. However, things get complicated when the only driver he can find for the job is his mother. Can the two survive the trip without completely ruining their relationship? Can Vadym’s mother give up her dream of having her son married, settled, and raising a family? This quirky and touching road movie is the debut feature film by Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich.
