After his American road-movie The Leisure Seeker with Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren, Paolo Virzì explores the golden age of Italian cinema with his latest dark comedy Notti Magiche. Summer 1990. A renowned film producer is found dead in the Tiber river on the night of the football World Cup Final. The main suspects are three aspiring screenwriters who have to share their tumultuous, emotional and ironic journey in the streets of Rome in the course of a police interrogation.
