We are delighted to share with you an exclusive interview with Thierry Frémaux, the Artistic Director of the Cannes Film Festival, as the 2020 selection has just been announced.
The Cannes Film Festival couldn’t take place under its normal conditions this year. However, “cancelation has never been an option” according to its director Thierry Frémaux.
On 3 June he unveiled the 2020 Festival selection made of 56 films from around the world, ranging from feature films to documentaries and animations. These films will bear the 2020 Cannes Festival Official Selection laurel, a certification which they hope will support their release in cinemas.
This year’s great line-up includes French directors François Ozon, Maïwenn, Farid Bentoumi, Emmanuel Mouret, Caroline Vignal, Bruno Podalydès and many more!
Discover the full selection and hear Thierry Frémaux encouraging you to go back to cinemas and Ciné Lumière, when they reopen, and talking about the French selection, British filmmaker Steve McQueen and the Lumière brothers!
