The Institut français du Royaume-Uni presents FranceDance UK – a four-month festival bringing the best in French contemporary dance.

After smash openings last August at the Edinburgh International Festival and at the Southbank Centre, FranceDance UK continues, featuring a total of 50 performances, including several UK premieres, at 16 festivals and theatres in 9 major UK cities.

The festival focuses on creation and innovation with a particular highlight on diversity and the work of women choreographers under the honorary patronage of international dancer, choreographer and future Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, Carlos Acosta CBE.

In October we’ll host two masterclasses at the Institut français from the collective (La)Horde and choreographer Thomas Lebrun talking about their art and giving practical courses to the audience.
