Create a Pop-up Card for Easter

Easter at Home

Looking for a fun and crafty activity to do with your little ones? Why not create a unique pop-up card to celebrate Easter?

To create your very own Pop-up card for Easter, you will need:

  • 2 green sheets of paper (A4)
  • 2 green sheets of paper (A4)
  • 1 blue sheet of paper (A4)
  • 1 white sheet of paper (to draw a bunny)
  • 1 sheet of paper (A4) of the colour of your choice for the cover
  • Coloured papers to cut in the shape of eggs
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Colouring pens

  • 1 & 2: Fold an A4 green sheet of paper into two. In the center of the folded part, make two cuts 5 cm (1.9 in) apart from each other with a depth of 2,5 cm (0.9 in).

  • 3: Push the piece you cut inside the paper and open your card.

  • 4: The piece you cut should now stand straight as shown on the image.

  • 5 & 6: Take the A4 blue sheet of paper and cut 8 cm (3.1 in) on the length, with a wavy movement.

  • 7: Stick the blue piece of paper you just cut, on top of your card, to represent the sky.

  • 8: Cut seven Easter eggs out, using coloured papers and decorate them as you like. Stick three Easter eggs on the green part below the sky.

  • 9: Take your second green sheet of paper and cut out four rectangles of the following dimensions: Three rectangles of 7 cm x 6 cm (2.7 in x 2.3 in) and one of 7 cm x 3 cm (2.7 in x 1.1 in). Fold the first three rectangles on their length.

  • 10 & 11: Make lots of little cuts on one width of the four rectangles to create the grass.
Then, draw a bunny and cut it out.

  • 12: Glue the piece of grass that doesn’t have a fold at the base of your bunny.

  • 13: Stick the bunny on the pop-out section of the card.

  • 14: Glue the base of each grass piece and stick them where you want on your card.

  • 15: Glue and distribute your Easter eggs on the grass sections of your pop-out card.

  • 16: If you want to add a cover to your card: Stick another folded A4 paper of your choice on your pop-up card and write a message on it!

And voilà! Your Easter Pop-up card is ready!
