South Ken Kids Festival

The South Ken Kids Festival is back for its 23rd edition!

Whether onsite or online, some of the most talented children’s writers and illustrators from both sides of the Channel will embark you on a journey in the marvellous landscapes of children’s literature.

Brilliantly bilingual throughout, the South Ken Kids Festival is an occasion to highlight children’s writing, illustration, translation, and children’s books in all their glory.

The 2020 topics are Kindness, Fraternity and Diversity.

Check out our line-up of artists, illustrators, writers and musicians: Perceval Barrier, Quentin Blake, Barroux, Mathieu Boogaerts, Izzy Burton, Benji Davies, Fanny Dulin, Claire Fauvel, David Furlong, Jim Field, David Litchfield, Bridget Marzo, Sarah McIntyre, Matthieu Maudet, Dorothée de Monfreid, Michael Morpurgo, François Olislaeger, Guy Parker-Rees, Delphine Perret, David Prudhomme and Axel Scheffler.

Our public programme is still in progress but stay tuned for it will be out very soon!

As for our school programme, due to the current Covid-19 situation and considering that the guidelines can and will probably evolve until mid-November, we have decided to go mainly digital with a week of inclusive and engaging events. French and British authors and illustrators are ready to help us bring you an amazing school programme.

Once again, all British and French schools are welcome to participate, from nurseries to secondary schools. We are looking forward to meeting you again, as well as welcoming new participants!

This year, we offer a wide range of events providing children with unforgettable experiences of the world of book-making, story-writing, illustration and translation.

Registration deadlines: 29th of September
