Book Launch + Music

Launching André Jolivet: Music, Art and Literature (Routledge), the first book in English on this major figure in twentieth-century French music, the editor Caroline Rae (Cardiff University) and the composer’s daughter Christine Jolivet-Erlih will discuss the music, life and influence of this pupil of Varèse and colleague of Messiaen. The evening will also include musical performances of chamber works for flute, viola and harp by Trio Silvanus, an ensemble of up-and-coming performers from the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.
