Celebrating the centenary of the birth of one of France’s most beloved chansonniers, Georges Brassens (1921-1981), the Institut français hosts a special Music Rendezvous with Contrebrassens, the encounter of a singer Pauline Dupuy, her double bass and the work of songwriter and poet Georges Brassens.
Pauline Dupuy’s voice brings to light the femininity and melody in Brassen’s classic songs. She is joined by multi-instrumentalist Michael Wookey whose unique style adds an element of surprise and eccentricity to the mix.
The performance will be followed by a discussion and questions from the audience.
Fri 12 Nov 7pm | £7, members £5
