Notre-Dame: The Voice of Cathedral

Les Salons en Musique

by Ensembles Alla Francesca & Diabolus in Musica

At the end of the 12th century, the Notre-Dame Cathedral emerged as a crossroad for musical creation, and new styles appeared: polyphony and regular rhythmic pulsations. The ensembles Alla Francesca (women’s voices) and Diabolus in Musica (men’s voices) present a journey across the different genres of this era, from organa to motets and representative songs of the Gothic art.
