Orléans International Piano Competition – Brin d’herbe

© Pino Montisci

Anticipating the 10th anniversary of Diaphonique, the Franco-British fund for contemporary music, budding pianists from the Orléans International Piano Competition will play, among others, three new pieces by British composer Christian Mason. Created in 2004, the junior piano competition Brin d’herbe takes place every two years and is open to pianists from 6 to 18 years old. Diaphonique is happy to support this touring competition, allowing young musicians to discover and study contemporary pieces.

Composer Christian Mason will be present at the concert.

£15, members £13, students £5

Diaphonique exists since 2010 and is grateful to the Sacem, British Council, the French Ministry of Culture, Institut français, Institut français du Royaume-Uni, Trust Friends of the French Institute, Fondation Francis and Mica Salabert and Le Bureau Export for their support and lasting commitment.
