Re-discover the Accordion with Elodie Soulard

Women Shaping The World, Les Salons en Musique

Elodie Soulard, accordion

Regularly invited as a soloist on major international stages (Salle Pleyel, Cité de la Musique, Festival Radio-France, Muziekgebouw of Amsterdam, Seoul Arts Center), Elodie Soulard’s talent as an interpreter has undoubtedly been recognised in a repertoire that includes both transcriptions of Bach to Ligeti and original contemporary works for her instrument (Kusyakov, Gubaidulina, Lindberg, Berio, Ibarrondo).

With such chamber music partners as Emmanuel Pahud, Jean-Marc Phillips, Laurent Korcia, Eric-Maria Couturier and also the cellist Raphaël Pidoux, with whom she recorded a CD in 2009, she is a member of Siècles, and plays with the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio-France, the Orchestre Poitou-Charentes, the 2e2m, Instant Donné and C barré ensembles.

Supported by the Safran Foundation, Élodie plays a V. Gusiev model accordion manufactured by Jupiter Ltd., Moscow.
