As President Macron has announced, a national day of mourning for former French president Jacques Chirac will be held on Monday 30 September. A minute of silence will be observed at 3pm in the foyer of the Institut français in London.
A book of condolence is open at the French Residence until Monday 30 September at 6pm as part of the national homage to the former president.
The book of condolence will be open in the entrance hall of the French Residence (11 Kensington Palace Gardens,) on:
– Fri 27 Sept from 11am to 5pm
– Sat 28 Sept from 9am to 3pm
– Mon 30 Sept from 9am to 6pm
You will be required to show a valid photo ID. Large bags and suitcases are not permitted.
