The Institut français du Royaume-Uni, Opera Rara and the London Philharmonic Orchestra are proud to present an evening with the cast and creative team of Offenbach’s La Princesse de Trébizonde.
Musicologist and 19th century opera specialist Flora Willson hosts a discussion on Offenbach’s life and work with conductor Paul Daniel, French musicologist Jean-Christophe Keck, publication director of the critical Offenbach Edition Keck (OEK), and theatre director Jeremy Sams.
Members of the cast will perform selections from Keck’s new critical edition of Offenbach’s La Princesse de Trébizonde, which will receive its UK premiere at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on 16 September following a complete studio recording of the work.
