French Comics Apéro

BD2020: The Year of Comics

The ultimate online rendezvous for comics lovers! Every two weeks, take an aperitif with our librarians and chat about bande dessinée!

For our third session, let’s discover the wonderful Catherine Meurisse. Press cartoonist and illustrator for youth, she is the author of a dozen of elegant comics. Among others, she has drawn satirical political cartoons for Charlie Hebdo and released with Dargaud La Légèreté, Drôles de femmes, Delacroix and Les Grands espaces, all available on Culturethèque. We suggest reading this story in which she recalls her childhood in the countryside and discovers her love for art.

A discussion will follow as well as a wider overview of Press Cartoons in the world.

Tue 2 June 6pm

Discussion group: free
