The Choix Goncourt UK

The Choix Goncourt UK is a great occasion for British students who love reading to discover or develop a taste for contemporary French literature.

This year, British students from 12 UK based universities (King’s College London, Royal Holloway University of London, Oxford, Cambridge, Warwick, Leeds, Southampton, Bath, Aberdeen, St Andrews, Queen’s Belfast and Open University) were invited to discuss books from the prestigious French Académie Goncourt shortlist and award the Choix Goncourt UK.

Ahead of the big reveal on 18 March, selected authors Maël Renouard, Djaïli Amadou Amal, Camille de Toledo and Hervé Le Tellier will be in conversation with Catriona Seth (University of Oxford) in live-streamed talks organised by the Maison Française d’Oxford.

The Choix Goncourt UK is a joint initiative of the Académie Goncourt, the Maison Française d’Oxford, the Higher Education, Research and Innovation Department at the French Embassy, the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, the AUF Europe de l’Ouest and Librairie La Page in London.
