Persepolis
From Sat 27 Jun to Tue 07 JulBased on Marjane Satrapi’s graphic novel of the same name, Persepolis follows her life in pre- and post-revolutionary Iran and then in Europe. This poignant coming-of-age story of a precocious and outspoken young Iranian girl that begins during the Islamic Revolution, is the chronicle of a girlhood and adolescence at once outrageous and familiar; a young life entwined with the history of her country yet filled with the universal trials and joys of growing up.
These screenings of Persepolis pay tribute to the late Marjane Satrapi who left us this June.
