French Day

All our resources are at your disposal to ensure a very special and rewarding day at the Institut français. We can immerse your pupils in French culture through the discovery of our listed library and a French film (related to GCSE & A-level subjets) at Ciné-Lumère.

Kids will also be delighted to discover entertaining French tales and animation films.

 

This offer includes:

10.30am Enjoy a morning discovery at the Médiathèque:

After a short introduction to the Institut, kids (3-12 years) can visit the children's library, and listen to storytime in English or French whilst teens (13-18 years) can discover useful resources for GCSE and A-level revision as well as Culturethèque, our digital library. They can also take part in an interactive quizz and a treasure hunt on French contemporary society: cinema, literature, environment, immigration, eating habits, sports, etc.

 

12.00pm Have lunch at the Bistrot, our in-house caterer:

- French viennoiserie (pain au chocolat/croissant, fruit juice): £2.5

- French brunch (hot chocolate, orange juice, bread with butter & jam, pain au chocolat/croissant): £5.5

- French lunch (sandwich baguette jambon-fromage; crisps; water/fruit juice; fruit): £7

(£2.5-£7 per child & accompanying adult)

 

1.00pm Take a seat at Ciné lumière:

Have a look at our film list or get in touch with our school officer and we will help you select the right movie for your class.

 

Total duration: 4h | £12.5 - £17 per child | free for accompanying teachers (excluding snacks)
