In late-summer Paris, heavy with heat and fatigue, a group of friends gather reluctantly for a dinner in one couple’s apartment. Behind the shutters of the 6th Arrondissement, fractured relationships, simmering manipulations, bad behaviour and quiet desperation unfold over the course of the evening. With a cast of characters who both fascinate and repel, Tlili crafts a sharp and contemporary take on the Parisian huis clos, where what begins as just a little dinner ends up having monumental consequences for everyone at the table.
