The exhibition concludes a year-long research period carried out in Houston during Samir Laghouati-Rashwan‘s residency at Villa Albertine. His research, Slowness as a Resistance – which drives the exhibition – considers slowness as a potential form of resistance to hyper-productivity and capitalist dynamics through the slab car community and DJ Screw’s sound practice in Houston. Supported by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni.
