Believing that an abandoned, semi-derelict building in Seoul will soon be redeveloped, Eun-jin (Yoo Seon) purchases a third-floor apartment there for herself, her teen daughter Sung-hye (Lee Seo-yeon) and younger son Sung-ho (Lee Cheon-mu). When Eun-jin starts seeing and hearing things, her paranoia makes her a danger to all around her.

Much of the pleasure of Kim Tae-kyeong’s feature resides in the indeterminacy of its plotting. Is Eun-jin crumbling under the pressures of holding a job and solo-parenting while her husband Ji-chul (Lee Jong-hyuk) works away? Or is she suffering the stresses of the property ladder? Or has her own past trauma come back to haunt her? Or is the building haunted?
