- Objectives
- GCSE for heritage speakers: (Year 9-10) designed for confident speakers with a French background (learners who already have some exposure to French through family, home, or everyday use) who are preparing for the GCSE French exam independently or through school, with focus on advanced grammar and topic-specific vocabulary to match the exams success criteria. (level B1+)
- Pre-GCSE: (Year 10) Strengthen your French by building on the grammar and vocabulary you’ve learned at school. This course helps you improve your grades, boost your confidence, and prepare effectively for future GCSE studies. (level A1.2)
- GCSE: (year 10-11): Enhance your French skills and achieve better grades with a course specifically designed to meet GCSE requirements., topic-specific vocabulary to match the exams success criteria. (level A2+/B1-)
- A Level: (year 12-13) Enhance your French skills and aim for top grades with targeted support in advanced grammar and topic-specific vocabulary, literature & films to match the exams success criteria. Through structured lessons and exam-focused practice, students are fully prepared to achieve their best results. (level B1+/B2-)
Learning approach
Students will be taught mostly in French in class to practise writing, speaking, reading. For A-level courses, students will give oral presentations, engage in debates based on French exams topics. - Resources
Past papers from all boards (AQA, EDEXCEL, CIE, WJEC), stimulating and tailor-made resources adapted from authentic documents. (digital worksheets, games and interactive grammar tasks. - Tutor
Our teachers are specialised in all exam boards (AQA, EDEXCEL, CIE, WJEC) for GCSE, IGCSE, A Level.
PRE-GCSE: Year 9
GCSE Year 1: Year 10 / GCSE Year 2: Year 11
A LEVEL Year 1: Year 12 / A LEVEL Year 2: Year 13
- Please note that you can register for either a single session or multiple consecutive sessions. Each session will cover different aspects of the syllabus, and attending multiple sessions will allow you to complete the full curriculum.
- No level assessment is required for this course.
