Lucía is a teenage girl taken by her mother to Peñagrande, a Catholic reformatory for teen mothers-to-be in Madrid, to find a solution for an unwanted pregnancy. At Peñagrande, Lucía will end up forging unexpectedly strong friendships with the other girls. She will also discover that the nuns are hiding from her that her yet-to-be born child is going to be taken away. Based on real events, this film is about historical memory and all those stories that were untold or hidden: a shameful part of history that has not yet been properly addressed. After a long process of documentation and interviews with people involved in the events, Pau Teixidor has managed to provide these girls with a unique female strength and make of this film an invitation to life with the support of an extraordinary cast of young actresses.
