Stéphanie (Léa Drucker), a dedicated police officer working for the French equivalent of the Independent Office for Police Conduct, is assigned to investigate a case involving a young man who was seriously injured amid the chaos of a tense “gilets jaunes” protest in Paris. While her inquiry uncovers no evidence of unlawful police violence, the case takes a personal turn when Stéphanie discovers the victim is from her hometown.
Directed by Dominik Moll (Night of the 12th, Only the Animals), Case 137, featured at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, is a gripping procedural drama brought to life by a compelling and magnetic performance from Léa Drucker.
