La Bola Negra

From Spain in 1932 to Spain in 2017, La Bola Negra, winner of the Best Director’s Award at this years Cannes Film Festival, is a bold tapestry spanning nearly a century of Spanish history, telling the story of three men whose lives are intimately connected through desire, pain and love. Rich with Lorca’s poetry, it is an intimate love story and a sweeping exploration of memory, inheritance and queer history, honouring those whose lives and loves were too often forced into silence.
