From Sat 09 to Sun 17 DecTrenque Lauquen is a wondrous multipart epic from the Argentine director Laura Citarella (La Flor), telling the story of Laura, a visiting botanist who comes to disappear in mysterious circumstances. Reminiscent of Latin America’s great novelists – Roberto Bolaño, Juan Gabriel Vásquez, Gabriel García Márquez – the first part of this gripping diptych alternates between two timelines and quests: the search for Laura and flashbacks to her and one of her lovers in search of someone else.
